The Goal was to bring back the original style and charm of this 1917 Arts & Crafts bungalow.  Joe used an innovative exterior wall system, known as the “perfect wall”, combined with energy efficient windows that resulted in an air-tight house with a higher total wall R-value for maximum energy efficiency.  The material selection for the interior mixed local and sustainable materials using zero & low V.O.C. finishes and paint. This warm and inviting home reflects the owners personalities and lifestyles.  The kitchen is laid out for one or two chefs to cook efficiently. The second floor was designed as a master ensuite with a large walk-through closet / dressing area.  A third level loft acts as both a media room and home office accessed from the custom “lyptus” spiral staircase.   The design integrates the house with the landscape, as you enter the home, the landscape is revealed, connecting the indoors with the outdoors.  The outdoor kitchen & bbq were designed for entertaining with three arbors that provide structure and accentuates the natural canopy of the 200 plus year old oak trees.
