This 2600 square foot whole house renovation / addition was designed for a culinary educator and her husband. This young family wanted to convert their 1931 bungalow into an energy efficient home that expressed their amazing cultural diversity. Being in the culinary profession, the focal point of the home was, of course, the kitchen with a custom inset wood spiral island. This home also features a two sided direct vent fireplace which connects two rooms created for festivus dining and family gathering. The children’s rooms feature soaring ceilings with clerestory windows. The previously enclosed living room was opened up with a sliding window wall opening up to the screened in porch overlooking the pool making it great for entertaining.
