Contractor: SRS Development
Starting with a fresh wide open site, Joe & his team were charged with creating an RV Park for the newly redeveloped town of Lajitas, Texas. The site encompassed more than 33 acres of land near Big Bend National Park. The main buildings were developed drawing inspiration from the southwestern style and Santa Fe de nuevo traditional pueblo architecture. The site was situated below the iconic Lajitas Mesa (Lajitas Peak). West Texas is home to many species of butterflies and the shape worked perfectly on the site, so Joe took this opportunity to combine the two and create the ideal RV Park. The plan takes on the shape of a giant butterfly with more than 100 sites including 60 pull-thru sites all with full hookups. The clubhouse includes a large flexible room for group gatherings, laundry facilities, private showers, and a swimming pool under the watchful eye of Lajitas Peak. The office building welcomes guests with ample room during check-in and convenient retail space. Maverick Ranch RV Park has continued to be successful for more than 20 years which speaks highly of well-designed buildings.
